Every picture in the collection is made up partly of an aluminium sculpture, from which the artist constructs the model for casting, and partly of a painting created entirely by him. In this way every picture is unique, even though the casting may be used in more than one picture.
For this reason, the artist names the pictures after the aluminium structures and numbers each indivicual picture up to a predefined limit. therefore, the name “Aton”, for example, identifies the aluminium figure and the number 6/25 shows that the picture is the sixth in a series of twenty-five.
This is certified by a document attached to the back of the picture, signed both by Arnaldo Gamba and Fabio Roncato, owner of the company.
The differences between one version and another (and therefore one number and another) of the same sculptural theme may be minimal due to, for example, colour or violence of contrasts, or radical, with a total variation of the background.
Pictures certified as the artist’s original work are obviously considered in all respects unique works.
